Singing couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed their first child together, a son named Bronx Mowgli Wentz, Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The new mom’s rep told E! News, “Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening.”
“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”
The baby boy comes to the world almost three weeks after Pete told Ryan Seacrest that his 24-year-old wife was “very pregnant…She’s at the very end, and it could happen at any point.”
Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 20 1/2 inches long.
Pete Wentz’s hip hop artist buddy Tyga revealed in an exclusive interview yesterday at the House of Hype’s pre-VMA barbecue: “They’re having twins.”
“They’re really happy.”
But a rep for Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Pete Wentz, 29, has denied the report, saying: “It is not true.”
The singing couple announced they were expecting eleven days after their marriage on May 17.
